Roll is an important component on the steel rolling mill in a steel rolling plant, which uses the pressure generated by a pair or group of rolls to roll and mill steel. It mainly bears the influence of dynamic and static loads, wear, and temperature changes during rolling. There are two types of rollers: hot roller and cold roller. The materials commonly used for working rolls in cold rolling include 9cr, 9cr2,9crv, 8crmov, etc. The cold rolling rolls require surface quenching with a hardness of hs45-105. The commonly used materials for hot rolling rolls include 55mn2,55cr, 60crmnmo, 60simnmo, etc. Hot rolling rolls are used in the processing of billets, thick plates, and section steels. It withstands strong rolling force, severe wear and thermal fatigue effects, and the hot rolling rollers work at high temperatures, allowing for diameter wear per unit of work, so surface hardness is not required, only high strength, toughness, and heat resistance are required. The hot rolling roller only adopts overall normalization or quenching, and the surface hardness requirement is hb190-270.
